I swear, the first time I heard this week’s Throwback Thursday song, “Rope the Moon” by John Michael Montgomery I thought that it reminded me of a line from the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life.” I don’t know if it inspired the song, but sure enough, in the movie George Bailey says, “What is it you want Mary? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.” I was sold on the song then, but now that I’m married to someone that I would lasso the moon for and who believes I could actually do it, the song has so much more meaning to me. ... read more!
