Brett Eldredge Deserves To “Glow” With His First Christmas Album – CMM Review

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the best Christmas record to come out this year…. heck it’s the best one to come out in a few, if I’m totally honest. Now, for those that don’t already know, I’m a HUGE fanatic when it comes to Christmas. I love all things Christmas, to the point where I listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies all year round. So, let’s just say I have pretty high standards when it comes to Christmas albums, and Brett Eldredge has exceeded those standards. “Glow” is a top-notch record, one that will, without a doubt, get you in full holiday mode. ... read more!

Aaron Lewis ‘Sinner’ Shakes Things Up – CMM Review

There’s been a great deal of rumblings and dissecting of Aaron Lewis and his new record, “Sinner.” Most stemming from comments he made on stage a while ago, in which he essentially said that artists like Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, and others were “choking the life out of country music” (For the record, and this is solely my opinion, I agree!). Well, those remarks didn’t sit well with quite a few people and there was some controversy over it, though it clearly hasn’t hurt the artist any, considering that “Sinner” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. ... read more!

John Prine’s ‘For Better or Worse’ Is A Must Have Album – CMM Review

Well folks, let me introduce you to one of the best records to come out this year. John Prine’s “For Better, or Worse” should be, without a doubt, on everyone’s Best of 2016 lists. Jenny Gill’s “The House Sessions” — EP Review

Jenny Gill has been singing since she was a little girl so the release of her EP “The House Sessions,” out September 8th, is particularly sweet for the singer/songwriter. This project features 6 songs, 5 of which are written or co-written by Jenny and recorded in her dad’s home studio affectionately called “The House.” While Jenny has been on plenty of stages singing background vocals for her dad, Vince Gill, and her step mom Amy Grant, this EP is finally her turn to take the bull by the horns and jump into center stage. Fans that have seen her sing live have been clamoring for this release and it is no wonder why. Jenny isn’t just the daughter of a famous singer, she is a talent in her own right and this EP BEYOND demonstrates that. ... read more!

“A Few More Cowboys” From Toby Keith Hits The Mark – CMM Review

It has been a little touch and go with Toby Keith lately, some of his music is still really good, but some of it was not quite up to par. He’s never been one to stay right down the middle, he either totally hits it or completely misses the mark with his music. The last few years has found Keith struggling, and flip flopping back and forth between his usual sound and trying to keep up with the current mainstream sounds. His last album, 35 MPH Town, was released almost a year ago now, and found Keith, for the most part, returning to his usual sound. The record produced 3 singles, 2 of which made the Top 50, and also produced some of his best songs in a while. Both “Beautiful Stranger” and “35 MPH Town” are songs that can definitely stand next to other Keith standards. ... read more!
