Many still think of Vegas as just bright lights, partying, gambling, hotels with luxury pools, but do many consider it a country music mecca? Well, more and more folks are believing it is. Not only are the Academy of Country Music Awards held here every April as well as the National Finals Rodeo in December, there are venues that keep the country music alive. Stephanie Quayle recently returned to one of the best-known spots in town, Stoney’s Rockin’ Country, and we knew that is was a must-see show.
There were long time Stephanie fans there as well as first timers, and as I watched the crowd react to the spirted performance, I am confident she gained some new fans that night. As the stage lights dim, and the intro music starts it gets crazy, then BAM! Stephanie is on that stage taking full control of it and the audience. Throughout her set list of songs such as, “Drinkin’ With Dolly,” “I’ve Got Your Six,” “Winnebago” and her current hit, “Selfish” she never once hesitates to acknowledge those in the crowd who she knows from her tour or just someone that she feels needs that high five. I can clearly understand how her fan base, known as the “Flock of Quayle” love her.
We had some time before her show to visit and this down to earth gal is such a joy. Stephanie clearly loves what she does, works and tours hard but never once relents when asked for some of her time. We discussed her career highlights, her new song “Selfish” and more. This is one artist you have to see any chance you get, TRUST us on that one. Stephanie is a gift on the long list of rising female country artists.
