2018 ACM Award Winners and Best Moments

Well, another award show in the books! The 2018 ACM Awards brought us many moments to remember. Overall we felt it was a good show….glad to see the show start off acknowledging the Route 91 victims. While we appreciated what they said, we felt a song in tribute would have been okay to go with it too, but regardless they paid tribute and that was what was most important. We were also glad to see Reba back steering the ship as the nights host! While we love Luke, Blake and Dierks…..but there is no one like Reba…I mean, she is REBA!  Here is a little rundown of a few of our favorite moments from the show…..

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: WOW. WOW. one more time….WOW! Everyone was anticipating  her big “come back” after staying out of the spotlight to focus on healing after falling at her home. Carrie was very emotional it seemed, but channeled all of that energy into singing her new sure to be hit single, “Cry Pretty.” Carrie showed up in a BIG way and blew the crowd away with her soaring vocals. She looked amazing as always and most importantly sounded  perfect. So glad to see her take the stage!

THE 90’s THROWBACK PERFORMANCES: It is always great to reflect and pay homage to  the songs that were hits in years passed. Last nights show paired Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi on “Chattahoochee, and “Toby Keith and Blake Shelton on “Shoulda Been A Cowboy.” Both pairings were fun and we were glad to see Alan and Toby perform. However, the performance that capped off the throwbacks was a HANDS down show stopper…..Reba and Kelly Clarkson singing “Does He Love You”  was EVERTHING we wanted it to be and MORE! Top notch vocals on a great song, by two of the best vocalists out there was an absolute treat. Whoever had this brilliant idea…..we thank you!

CHRIS STAPLETON WINNING LOTS and LOTS  and HAVING BABIES!: I mean c’mon, what a night……BIG wins with Male Vocalist and Album of the year for the superstar….but he wasn’t’ there to accept because the BIRTHDAY BOY (thats right it was his birthday too) was back at home with his wife Morgane meeting his new twin boys! A big congrats to Chris on his new bundles of joy and for the WELL DESERVED wins. That man can SING and we couldn’t be happier to see him get acknowledged for it!

LAUREN ALAINA BEING AWESOME: We LOVE her. There I said it. She is as real and genuine as they come and we feel these awards were a big MOMENT for her. She won “New Female Vocalist,” but also showcased her impressive vocal chops singing with Kane Brown on “What If” and taking a turn singing “Doin’ Fine.” We love to see people who work hard and are so real and also kind to the fans have that moment they have dreamed of and we feel Lauren had hers and we were honored to see it!

There were many other great moments, but those moved us the most. A BIG congrats to ALLLLLLL the winners !
