It’s that time of year again when we are in a jolly mood; singing Christmas songs by our favorites, shopping for that perfect gift for our loved ones, friends and co-workers, eating more than we should, shoveling snow in some states, warming by the fire but not necessarily roasting chestnuts and on and on. “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.”
(My fireplace in Vegas; Yes folks we have winter here Ha Ha)
We have had some busy times this year and some lags as well. The ACM adventure was a blast and CMA Fest was a big success. Met some new folks this year, saw a lot of shows, welcomed a new member to our team, Heidi Bryan, and myself (Mary Kay) took the leap and relocated to Las Vegas from California. Krissie is still the fearless leader and remains a full time Mom, and our Triple-Shot, TBT and FBF contributor Geoff made a good impact this year. Heidi and I both work full time jobs so we grab and go what we can.
We have gained some ground with new artists and still feel strongly about quality not quantity. There is enough competition out there to keep everyone happy and for us we are thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of it all, albeit small. There has also been sadness with the loss of some great talent this year; they will forever remain in our hearts and the memories in their music.
This time of year, there are so many people to recognize and thank. We have great respect and admiration for all the PR reps who continue to hang with us and make our jobs easy. They work tirelessly to make sure their artists are part of our world. Our deepest thanks for 99.1 The Ranch in Simi Valley, CA for letting us take up a few minutes of their morning show with Brad and Ashley to share Country News every week. And some of our biggest thanks go out to those who follow us on our site and all forms of social media..You ALL ROCK.
The team is looking forward to 2018 and some new ideas to make it even better than 2017. We are going to regroup, work harder and make sure we do our best to honor those who have kept the faith in us. It has its ups and downs, set ups and set-backs as do many things in life. So, from all of us to all of you, Merry Christmas. Have a fun, loving, joyous and safe Holiday season. And please remember one act of kindness to someone less fortunate can be the brightest spot in their day.
