Blake Shelton Oldie But Goodie In Flashback Friday

Love isn’t always flowers and Valentines. Sometimes it takes someone not giving up on it and holding out hope. That’s just what our Flashback song by Blake Shelton is about today.

“Austin” was written by David Kent and Kirsti Manna. The hit was released in April 2001 as his very first single from his debut album, “Blake Shelton.” It was also his first No. 1 song and stayed there for 5 weeks. “Austin” tied a record set by Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992 when “Achy Breaky Heart” stayed atop the chart for five weeks, setting the mark for an artist’s debut single.

Blake is currently on the “Doin’ It To Country Songs Tour” in support of his latest album “If I’m Honest.” I can’t wait to see him tonight in Los Angeles!

Check back next Friday for a Flashback that’ll come from out of the blue.
