Sara Evans, Dolly Parton, Diamond Rio Featured In Triple-Shot Tuesday

For our first Triple-Shot of 2017, I wanted to dedicate it to anyone who is starting over in the New Year. The first part of the New Year may be a real fine place to make a fresh start, but I think it’s important to remember that every new day is also another chance to start. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve tried before, I hope this is the time that it will work for you and 2017 will be a great year.

Sara Evans’ “A Real Fine Place to Start” was written by Radney Foster and George Ducas. It was released in May 2005 as the lead-off single to Evans’ album “Real Fine Place.” It became the fourth No.1 song of her career.

“Starting Over Again” was written by Donna Summer and her husband Bruce Sudano. It was originally done by Dolly Parton and released in March 1980 as the first single from her album “Dolly, Dolly, Dolly.” It made the U.S. pop top forty and reached No. 1 on the country chart. Reba McEntire also covered the song in 1995 for her “Starting Over” album.

Diamond Rio’s “(I Will) Start All Over Again” was written by Will Jennings and Annie Roboff.  It appeared on their 1998 album “Unbelievable.” It wasn’t released as a single to radio.

I hope you’ll resolve to join us next Tuesday for another Triple Shot about being better in the New Year.
