Wednesday’s Watch Featuring Country Duo Towne

I was aware of the up-and-coming talent of the duo Towne; but finally opened my eyes to what I was missing when I had the fun opportunity to see them live in an acoustic set at this year’s CMA Fest. Sorry it has taken me so long to notice but I plan on catching up.

The singing songwriting duo consists of Pennsylvania bred, music theater geek Steevie Steeves and straight-from-Kentucky, former bassist for punk-rock band The Pink Spiders, Jon Decious. They connected musically immediately after crossing paths at Skip Ewing’s Horse and Writer Seminar in Wyoming. The result of that chance meeting led to their formation of one of Nashville’s most talented duo and their debut project, “Games We Play” released in March 2016.

The Americana southern roots and 60’s influences of Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor and Carole King bring out the uniqueness in their sound. The power and passion behind their music is all their own. Towne has such a smooth well put together sound which brings life to every song they sing. If you haven’t already get to know more about this not to miss duo by going to their website and read more of their story and listen to the sound I had overlooked, you will be glad you took the time.
