Artists have goals and things they say like, “Hey why not try this or that.” Aaron Benward and Scott Reeves of country duo Blue County did just that and set their sites on CMA Fest 2016. What they found was more than they could have imagined.
We caught up with the guys last year and they shared with us their idea of getting back together after nine years and seeing where it would go. Once out on social media the idea picked up steam and was welcomed by their long time fans. Once CMA Fest was set things were becoming real. They were overwhelmed with excitement, humbled and appreciative of those who attended their first SOLD OUT show together in over nine years held at the infamous Listening Room. Having to turn people away at the door is often bittersweet, but a good sign that the goal was a success.
The duo brought out the songs that put them on the map such as, “Good Little Girls,” “Firecrackers and Ferris Wheels,” “That’s Cool,” “I Get To,” and more. Blue County sounded as if they never let any time lapse and the crowd knew every word to every song. To paraphrase one of their songs, ‘That’s Cool.’
Blue County also made stops at The Hard Rock Cafe stage, Fallen Heroes Benefit and Country With A Heart show benefiting St Jude along with other. There is a lot of hard work and planning that makes this all take place. Blue County, their team and fans were not going to let this chance pass by, and to say it was a success is an understatement. Welcome back guys.
