The ladies of country have bright starts that just need the attention so as not to lose their shine. Chelsea Bain is one of those stars that will be noticeable for a long time. The touching video for her latest single, “Power of a Woman” showcases the many strengths women have, and is appealing to men and women alike. Welcome Chelsea to our “Wednesday’s Watch” spotlight.
Chelsea has built her career on performing strong songs she has written from her own experiences and observations, but she turned to an outside source for “Power of a Woman.” Written by Lee Brice, John Ozier, and Kyle Jacobs, the song was included on Brice’s 2010 album “Love Like Crazy.” The song is the follow up to her last single, “James Dean,” which was a bit more action packed featuring a car flipping over and catching fire. The clip for the latest song was directed by Layne Pavoggi and produced by Grace Le for Mother Productions, LLC. Tim Davis served as the director of photography for the beautiful clip. The Interior narrative was shot in a home in Culver City, CA, and the stunning exterior performances were shot at the El Mirage Dry Lake in Adelanto, CA.
“I fell in love with this song, when I first heard it on Lee’s album,” said Chelsea. “I always thought it would be interesting singing it from a female perspective, especially considering the strong lyrics, and I was thrilled when I found out I could record it.”
Chelsea Bain has built quite the following (over 330,000 Facebook fans) from her music and constant touring across the country with performances at over 50 NASCAR races in the past two years. She has opened for superstars such as Tim McGraw, Jarred Niemann, Brett Eldredge, Justin Moore, and Big & Rich. I have been drawn to her voice, her style and charm, not sure why it took me so long to bring her front and center. Now that she is do not let her slip away.
