New young artists are out there, but sometimes it just takes a good PR Rep to lead you to their talent. This week our spotlight shines brightly on Kristi Hoopes, a singer song-writer from Parker, CO who is no stranger to making impressions on all who hear her.
Born on Valentine’s Day, 16 year old Kristi laid the foundation for her career at the young age of two by entertaining her family, and after a noticed rendition of the Nancy Sinatra song, “These Boots Are Made For Walkin,” in a 3rd grade talent show. Kristi signed on with a musical theater troupe that toured nationally and internationally. After the group disbanded in 2009 she knew she was ready to take that step to become the country artist she is today.
Her path over the next few years lead her to numerous wins with the CCMA’s (Colorado Country Music Association) which then brought her to Tennessee in 2010 winning Female Entertainer of the Year from NACMAI (North American Country Music Association International) followed by being named Songwriter of the Year in 2011.
In between her academic schedule, Kristi plays anywhere she can and also volunteers her time and talent with local theater productions as well as continuing her song-writing. Her latest song, “At Least It’s Something” is available on iTunes. To read more on her continued success catch Kristi on her website: www.kristihoopes.com
