Mickey Guyton’s “Better Than You Left Me” — Music Video Monday

I have seen all the industry “Buzz” over this new artist. Many I know are raving about her and now I finally see why. I finally took the time to check out Mickey Guyton and knew I had to give her props for my Music Video Monday selection, “Better Than You Left Me.” It is not quite the video we are used to highlighting but I was excited to give this voice further recognition.

The young Arlington, TX native is no stranger to a music history starting at an early age singing gospel in church. She grew up listening to some great influences such as Dolly Parton, LeAnn Rimes and Whitney Houston as well as gospel favorites CeCe and BeBe Winans. Her voice is a compilation of all of these and could very well fit into any genre.   Her love and admiration of country music has sent her our way.

Mickey released an acoustic EP, “Unbreakable” in March of 2014, which can be found on iTunes and is now putting the final touches to her upcoming new album on the Capitol Record label who she signed with in 2011. She had already been a resident of Nashville as part of the song writing community when she signed with Capitol so she is no stranger to the industry.

I wish this young lady continued success and look forward to what her upcoming album will bring. I think once you listen to this sound you will agree. Make sure to see what Mickey Guyton is all about: http://mickeyguyton.com/
