Her debut album “Walking Wires” comes out October 15th and we think you will be hearing a lot from this up and coming talent. Check out our interview with our October “Artist on the Rise” Logan Brill and get to know her and her music!

Give us a little background. Where are you from? How did you get into playing music?

Logan Brill:

I’m originally from Knoxville, TN. I grew up in a family of music lovers so there were always instruments around and CDs playing. Being from East Tennessee we spent a lot of our time as a family sitting around campfires and singing my parents’ favorite songs by The Band, Grateful Dead, Jackson Browne, and Gram Parsons. When I was eleven or twelve, my older brother had a blues band that would play around town and they’d let me sit in and sing with them on Stevie Ray Vaughn or Buddy Guy tunes.

Who are some of your musical influences?

Logan Brill:

I’m influenced by the music of my parents’ generation and by strong female artists like Patty Griffin and Bonnie Raitt.

Tell us a little bit about how you would describe your sound to those who aren’t familiar with your music.

Logan Brill:

It’s a mix of Country, Americana and Rock.

What are some of your career highlights so far?

Logan Brill:

Being asked to sing with the Knoxville Symphony, opening for Josh Turner, and finishing this album have all been big thrills.

What do you want people to know most about you and your music?

Logan  Brill:

What I hope people take away from this album is its sincerity. Each one of the songs means a great deal to me.
