Happy December! The holidays are officially upon us and it is time to break out the Christmas music! So many country artists have put out some really great holiday inspired music and you will find a few of our favorites on our monthly playlist!
Country Radio Seminar, also known as CRS, officials have announced the CRS 2015 New Faces of Country Music Show performers. The five acts to appear arw Frankie Ballard (Warner Bros./WAR), Sam Hunt (MCA), Maddie & Tae(Dot), Eric Paslay(EMI) and Cole Swindell (Warner Bros./WAR).
If you are searching for some authentic sounding country music, James Carothers is certainly the artist for you. With a great sense of self, and also a great sense of humor, James writes songs that are real and relatable. Hailing from Tennessee, the baritone singer may remind you of Jamey Johnson or Waylon Jennings, but he still brings a unique originality to his music that makes it his own. His latest album, “Honky Tonk Land,” features songs James penned and gives listeners great songs like “I Must Be Alive” and “New Country Singers.”
Little Big Town fans rejoice! The band recently released their new single “Girl Crush” to radio and now they announced they will be adding a spring leg to The Pain Killer Tour. One of our favorites, the super talented singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton, will join the group as they make their way to 12 cities, kicking off the tour March 5, 2015 in Savannah.
Every time I hear my Music Video Monday selection I want to hear it over and over. The vocals, the theme and the artist bring a new level of the view of a cowboy. What woman doesn’t want a “He Man” to come sweep them off their feet and ride away into the sunset? Randy Houser makes you fall in love with that Cowboy.
As many of you have heard, Dawn Sears recently passed away from lung cancer. Even though I knew she was sick for a long time the news was still shocking to me. She was such a fighter and had such a strong spirit I just couldn’t believe she was gone.
Maddie & Tae may still be teenagers, but that doesn’t stop them from making history. Closing out a Cinderella 2014 with their first single, their first Gold certification and their first number one with the rollicking “Girl In A Country Song,” the spunky pair become only the second female duo to debut number one on the BDS’ charts – the Wreckers’ “Leave The Pieces” in 2006 first.
The Christmas 4 Kids organization has announced its lineup of participating artists for this year’s annual tour bus show to be held at the Hendersonville, Tennessee Walmart. On Monday, December 15th, from 5-9 PM, stars will gather on parked tour buses to meet fans and give them an inside look at a country artist’s home on the road.
Warner Music Nashville and friends celebrated a classic evening with Brett Eldredge, who performed classic Sinatra songs along with his powerful ballad “One Mississippi.” Before heading on stage, Eldredge posed with WMN execs and management for an authentic “mafia” style family photo.
Carrie Underwood paid a visit to the “Today” show yesterday to talk about her new release and about her baby on the way. Turns out picking a baby name is no easy task for her and hubby Mike Fisher!! Take a look below as she chats and then sings her latest single “Something in the Water.”
